1. Yabuli Ski Resort
Known as China's premiere ski resort, the Yabuli Ski Resort is also known as China's largest ski resort. Located at Heilongjiang, it is 110 miles, or 77 kilometers, from Harbin. Yabuli's claim to fame occurred in 1996 when it hosted the 1996 Winter Asian Games. The 3,000 foot long ski run is the largest in the country, which is complemented by a number of good quality downhills and country trails. A total of 5 lifts and a cable car system allow visitors to go around the huge expanse that has 988 total acres perfect for skiing.

2. Beidahu Ski Area
In the Jilin province, Beidahu is considered as the largest skiing destination within its entire area. Beidahu was also known as the 2007 Winter Asian Games site. In Beidahu, a multi chair lift system allows skiers the freedom to choose between the lower half wide open terrain or the steep, trail terrain on the upper part of this skiing area that elevates up to 2500 feet. At the base of the mountainside is an expanded 200 room hotel that offers mostly Chinese food. Getting to Beidahu takes 4 hours from Beijing via airplane to Changchun followed by an hour and a half cab ride.

3. Nanshan Ski Village
Located near Miyun County is the Nanshan Ski Village, about 62 kilometers from Wang He Bridge in Beijing. Only a 30 minute drive via JingCheng Expressway, the Nanshan Ski Village has 150,000 hectares of recreational area fit for both beginners and competition-level skiers. Nanshan Ski Village's pride is the Nokia Nanshan Mellow Park, the largest snow park in the entire country, complete with 21 runs that range from novice to expert. Nanshan also has two high-speed Quads, a 2-man chair lift, and 13 rope tows and platter lifts. This allows the resort to be able to lift and accommodate up to 8,960 skiers and snowboarders an hour.
