Whitetail Ski Resort is nestled between Mercersburg, Pennsylvania and Clear Spring, Maryland. Its top elevation is 1,800 feet with a vertical drop of 935 feet. The ski resort has 19 trails with half pipe and terrain park. It has 8 lifts and an uphill capacity of 11,200 skiers per hour. Night skiing is available every night. The amenities include dining areas, internet café, lodging, sports shop, and changing rooms.

Holiday Valley Ski Resort is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Western New York. It has 4 terrain parks, 56 trails, 2 four-passenger chairlifts, 8 four-person chairlifts, and a halfpipe for snow sports enthusiasts. Holiday valley also offers night skiing, equipment rentals, skiing and snowboarding lessons, and children’s program.

More popularly known as New York’s Winter Snow Park ski resort, Belleayre Ski Center can be found along State Route 28. In total, it has 47 glades, parks, and trails and 58% of the terrain is suited for intermediate skiers. The ski resort boasts 5 cross-country trails which is 9.2 kilometers. Operating hours are from 8:00 to 5:00 pm everyday for the lodges and 9:00 to 4:00 pm for the lifts.

Liberty Mountain Resort is located at Carroll Valley, Pennsylvania adjacent to the Catoctin Mountains. It is accessible from Baltimore, Washington DC and all of South Central Pennsylvania. The skiing season is from December until mid-March. The resort has more than 100 acres of skiable area, 16 trails, 6 chairlifts, and 14 lanes at Boulder Ridge Snow Tubing.
