Wachusett Mountain
Wachusset Mountain is a 22-trail ski resort that is most accessible to commuting skiers from Boston and Worcester, and is one of the major ski destinations whose snow is almost completely manufactured. The trails that are scattered throughout the skiable area range from beginner to expert, and most of them are lighted to make night skiing possible. Wachusett Mountain is also home to a terrain park. 1. Mont Ripley
Mont Ripley is one of Michigan's premier ski hills popular among both the casual skiers and expert racers. It is located in the upper peninsula and is owned by the Michigan Technological University. It had recently engaged in snowmaking to provide better skiing conditions, as well as extend their seasons from late November to early April. It's selling feature comes in its rather difficult terrain, and the breathtaking views of Houghton, Portage Lake, and Huron Mountains. It has a total of 25 runs, encompassing four levels of difficulty (beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert), which is serviced by three lifts-- two chair lifts and one t-bar.

Northfield Mountain Cross Country Ski Area is most definitely a great place to do your cross-country skiing. There, you get 25 miles worth of excellent skiing – whether you're into plain old traditional skiing or the more exciting freestyle stunts. There's something for all skill levels here as well: sedate beginner trails, scenic intermediate runs, and the 800-foot vertical Tenth Mountain Trail for the adrenaline junkies. Add the instructors for beginner and refresher courses, and you're set.

Campgaw Mountain Coverage is a county park found within Mahwah. It is situated east of Interstate 287 and west of U.S. Highway 202 and the Ramapo River. The county park encompasses a ski area and the summit of Campgaw Mountain. It offers 2 two-person chairlifts and 1 magic carpet for beginners. It also has a lodge, snack bar, and equipment rental shop.

The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard resort, also known as Lee Canyon, is justly part of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. It has 11 ski trails (mostly intermediate-level) over 35 skiable acres, with snowboarding areas a popular enough activity to rival the skiing. With challenging terrain parks and a half-pipe to excite the skier, Las Vegas Ski and snowboard resort is a good place to ski.

Spruce Mountain is not a resort, but a ski area in Central Maine. Nevertheless, it is considered a very unique geographical structure, and a very interesting ski destination. The 11 trails of Spruce Mountain are maintained mostly by volunteers, and half of those trails are kept up by means of snowmakers. Nevertheless, skiers get to enjoy the special experience of skiing UP the 300 vertical feet to the summit of the mountain. Spruce Mountain is also known as an ideal cross-country skiing area.
