Arrowhead

The Arrowhead Ski Area is actually pretty small as a ski destination; it has 9 ski trails in its 25 skiable acres of hill. If you really think about it, it's more of a recreation area than a real ski place. Nevertheless, it has an interesting enough terrain to allow some fun for everyone. It's very local though, so don't expect too much.

The Burke Mountain Ski Resort is one of those places that can make everyone happy. With 43 posted and wonderfully-groomed ski runs and a terrain park on top of the fairly uncrowded area that showcases some really great sights, it's not surprising that this place is quite appealing. Burke is also home to some of the best Nordic skiing in the US, and has spawned some 80 Olympian skiers. Top that.

You have sixty-five trails and terrains worth of skiing that range from beginner to intermediate in Mount Sunapee, and it's very hard to be disappointed with that. Sure, most of the trails are for the intermediate level, but complicated runs like Goosebumps and exciting trails that have fun boxes and the like definitely make your stay more interesting. And as far as snow surfaces go, you'll be happy to know that Mount Sunapee has the BEST quality all in all. The beginners area is separate from the rest, to avoid confusion.
