Cannon Mountain
The Cannon Mountain Ski Area probably has some of the more exciting trails that anyone could hope to find in the area; there are so many different terrains to choose from, after all. But beginners need not fear currently, Cannon Mountain is expanding its beginners and children's programs. This is a great place for entire families who are into skiing.

1. Big Rock
The Big Rock skiing area advertises itself as a big mountain experience with a small town feel and no one can actually say that it isn't accurate. Most of its trails are geared towards the intermediate skier, but given that it has about 60 acres worth of skiable area (including areas for cross-country skiing), it's not going to be much of a problem. For all that, Big Rock strives to make itself accessible to all who wish to engage in winter sports. An advocate of winter sports promotions, Big Rock hosts annual winter sports races as well.
