Holiday Valley Ski Resort is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Western New York. It has 4 terrain parks, 56 trails, 2 four-passenger chairlifts, 8 four-person chairlifts, and a halfpipe for snow sports enthusiasts. Holiday valley also offers night skiing, equipment rentals, skiing and snowboarding lessons, and children’s program.

Apple Mountain Ski Resort is siutated in the heart of middle Michigan. It has a total of 12 splendid runs, serviced by 6 modern ski-lifts. It's mountains ski areas are a mix on red and black ski trails and blue and green slopes. It makes use of both seasonal snow and snowmaking devices, to create the perfect blend of snow for all skiers and snowboarders. It features slopes and trails from beginner to intermediate skill levels. While it is smaller than an average ski resort, it has the greatest altitude difference among other ski areas within a 50 mile radius. Basically, Apple Mountain is a ski resort primarily targeting casual skiers, a fun place to hang out in while working out at the same time.

Porcupine Mountains Ski Area is a part of a bigger resort, called Porcupine Mountains Convention and Visitor Bureau. It is one of Michigan's most beloved vacation spots, owing to its attractive location on the south shore of Lake Superior. The ski area has plenty of cross-country ski trails, surrounded by historical sites, rich foliage and wildlife. It has a fine lodge, supported by excellent service. It's highest vertical drop is an awe-inspiring 787 feet, and a whopping number of 42 runs serviced by a triple chair lift service. The only missing parts here are the traffic lights and cell phone signals, which is actually ideal if a person is to get away from it all.

Black Mountain is the oldest ski resort in New Hampshire, and it boasts of being the quintessential New England ski destination. All we can say is with its 40 trails over 143 acres that are pretty fairly divided between skill levels from beginner to advanced, this is a great place to practice or test how much you know about skiing. There's also some good recreational skiing to be had here; the forests can be very beautiful in Black Mountain. And considering that it's affordable, you have to admit that this is a value-for-money place.

The ski resort has 19 trails with half pipe and terrain park. It has 8 lifts and an uphill capacity of 11,200 skiers per hour. Night skiing is available every night. The amenities include dining areas, internet café, lodging, sports shop, and changing rooms.
