Haystack Club
Haystack Club is more of a private resort community than a proper ski resort. Nevertheless, it really does offer some decent Vermont skiing; it's very private and traditional New England. It has 45 mostly intermediate trails, all maintained with high-end snowmakers over 194 acres of ski-worthy area. Here, it's all about the love and joy of skiing.

Wachusset Mountain is a 22-trail ski resort that is most accessible to commuting skiers from Boston and Worcester, and is one of the major ski destinations whose snow is almost completely manufactured. The trails that are scattered throughout the skiable area range from beginner to expert, and most of them are lighted to make night skiing possible. Wachusett Mountain is also home to a terrain park. Welch Village is one of those resorts where patrons tend to acquire the season passes rather than single day tickets mainly because the resort has so much to offer, one day is not enough. It's fun, with a masterful blend of difficult, intermediate and easy trails, with a friendly and helpful staff. Moreover, a lot of its patrons are loyal customers, who have stuck to the resort for several years running, a testament to its dedication to quality and service.

The Woodbury Ski area is also just a ski area. However, it is known to be the first among all the ski areas in Connecticut to make snow and open, thus making it an early treat for skiers – this is a good place to exercise your skiing legs. It has a fair distribution of trails and runs for all ski levels, so you can bring the family and have a lot of fun here. Woodbury is also home to Masters Ski Racing Events.

Cloudmont Ski & Golf Resort is the only place available for skiing in Alabama. Because of their snow-making equipment, Cloudmont now has 2 one-thousand foot slopes for beginners and intermediate. The lift system used is 2 pony lifts. The resort provides personalized instruction and private lessons to skiers of different ages and skills.

Bolton Valley is neither too big nor too small – as baby bear would say it, it's just right. The now-locally owned ski resort has 64 trails (with 51 ski runs) and a good terrain park over 165 acres worth of skiable area. This place is not a place for thrill-seekers, however – it's more for a relaxing family vacation than anything else. No black diamond trails here, but some good tree skiing.
