4. Mount Mawson
Mount Mawson, found at the Mount Field National Park, is one of the two ski-worthy mountains in Tazmania, and is a favorable ski destination due to the fact that its winters have fairly consistent snowfalls. If you're in the area, Mount Mawson will prove to be a great spot for downhill skiing. Home to one of the steepest runs in the country, Mount Mawson can give you the adrenaline rush of your life. This does not mean, however, that beginners and the like cannot have fun here, as there are terrains in Mount Mawson that cater to them as well; there is a variety of cross-country skiing for those interested.

Perisher Blue has got to be one of the biggest ski resorts in Australia – if it isn't the biggest at 1,245 hectares of skiing terrain. As of 2008, it was voted as the number one ski destination of Australia, with its wide variety of trails within just one 420-meter vertical drop. Spread over seven peaks, Perisher Blue is a fairly uncrowded ski area that gives service to skiers of different levels (mostly intermediate). Perisher Blue is a ski adventure you will never forget, as the resort offers night skiing as well as cross-country skiing.
