Indianhead Mountain

Indianhead Mountain Resort is situated in northwestern Michigan, in Wakefield, Gobegic County. It as over 195 acres of skiable terrain with 22 trails, which is serviced by nine lifts (five chair lifts and four surface lifts) and tows. It features a wide variety of runs, from easy greens to double diamong ones. One of the two trails, called the Voyager's Highway, measures to over 40 acres in terms of surface area alone, larger than plenty of other entire ski resorts in the Midwest. The whole resort's acreage is served by man-made snow almost exclusively (around 95%), which makes it enjoy the longest ski season in Big Snow Country-- with early opening dates, which stretch til the later spring seasons.

Spruce Mountain is not a resort, but a ski area in Central Maine. Nevertheless, it is considered a very unique geographical structure, and a very interesting ski destination. The 11 trails of Spruce Mountain are maintained mostly by volunteers, and half of those trails are kept up by means of snowmakers. Nevertheless, skiers get to enjoy the special experience of skiing UP the 300 vertical feet to the summit of the mountain. Spruce Mountain is also known as an ideal cross-country skiing area.

Andes Tower Hills is one of the best family-oriented ski areas in Minnesota, with its friendly, wholesome atmosphere, attractive rates and zero alcohol tolerance. It's not a sprawling resort, but it is big enough to prevent boredom for even the most accomplished skier. It is a great place both to hone one's techniques, or to begin learning.

Shawnee Mountain is nestled in the Eastern Pocono Mountains. It has 23 trails, 2 terrain parks, and a snow tubing park. The longest trail runs about 5,100 feet. The snow tubing park has 5 chutes, a tow, a carpet, single tubes, and two-person tandem tubes. The lift system includes a quad, a triple, 4 double, and 4 carpets; the uphill capacity is 12, 600 persons per hour.
