Mount Brighton is situated in southeastern Michigan. It has twenty-six trails, serviced by a stunning 17 lifts, and provides skiing areas of all manner of difficulty, from beginning to expert. It has 100% snowmaking coverage which stretches to 130 skiable acres. Apart from being a skiing resort, it also offers skiing lessons in their Ski School, which teaches alpine skiing and snowboarding for all ages. Other lessons, such as snow racing is available upon request. The resort itself has no lodge of its own, but has an affiliation with two nearby motels, which offer very reasonable packages to those who prefer staying overnight and taking advantage of the night skiing.

Mountain Creek Resort, located in Vernon Township, New Jersey, is known as the largest terrain park in the east. It has 63 skiable acres alongside 19 freestyle terrain park trails. The resort offers a total of 11 lifts which includes 1 gondola, 6 chairlifts, 3 magic carpets, and 1 rope tow. Because of 1,000 snow guns, it has more snowmaking capacity compared to other resorts in the area.

The Alyeska Resort is one of those ski resorts that could be described as nothing short of world-class. It has 68 trails and over the 1,400 acres of ski-worthy area that also incidentally plays home to two certified downhill courses (certified by the International Ski Federation). Alyeska is also ideal for a family vacation, as there is a fair mix of trails that are easy enough for novices and that are challenging enough for more experienced for experienced skiers. There's also all sorts of skiing to be had here.

Okemo Mountain has 624 acres of skiable area, with 115 ski runs and six terrain parks. This is an ideal place for teenage skiers, who really like getting into stunts. The trails are fairly divided between skill levels, and they are all perfectly groomed for the convenience of the skiers. It also has some of the highest vertical drops in the area.
