Elk Mountain Ski Resort is voted the best in Pennsylvania in Ski Magazine. It puts quality in snow grooming with their equipments. The resort has 27 trails and 7 lifts including a cable tow in terrain park. It also offers ski programs like beginners’ lesson and advanced skiing. Elk Mountain is situated north of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

More popularly known as New York’s Winter Snow Park ski resort, Belleayre Ski Center can be found along State Route 28. In total, it has 47 glades, parks, and trails and 58% of the terrain is suited for intermediate skiers. The ski resort boasts 5 cross-country trails which is 9.2 kilometers. Operating hours are from 8:00 to 5:00 pm everyday for the lodges and 9:00 to 4:00 pm for the lifts.

The resort also has a tubing park with 4 lanes and 2 terrain parks. Other available activities are ice skating, snowshoeing, XC skiing, billiards, and arcade.
