1. Lost Valley
The Lost Valley Ski Area may be just that – a ski area – but it doesn't mean that it couldn't put up a fight as a ski destination. It boasts of fifteen trails, after all, and has a really good terrain park that could be used for both skiing and snowboarding. While some argue that most of the ski trails at the Lost Valley Ski Area are disappointingly for beginners and intermediates only, it should be pointed out that the advanced and expert trails are actually pretty challenging for skiers of that level. The Lost Valley Ski Area also plays host to one of the largest ski schools in Maine.
