With a name like Loon Mountain, it's most definite that you would be expecting something that would get your blood rushing with excitement. Well, Loon Mountain doesn't disappoint. As far as popular ski resorts go, this is one of those that gets five stars because of the exciting variety of its 47 trails over 2,100 vertical feet and most especially because of that little something they call Triple Trouble. Trust us, you will not regret skiing in Loon Mountain; there's a reason why it's the most popular ski resort in the state.

Yawgoo Valley has the honor of being the only ski resort in Rhode Island. That doesn't mean that it rests on its laurels; it has 13 ski trails and offers night skiing. And what it lacks in vertical drop (it's only a hill), it makes sure to keep things interesting by maintaining some excellent freestyle areas for the promising Nordic skier. Obviously Yawgoo is popular among those learning how to ski and those who are into freestyle skiing.
