Owl’s Head

The name Owl’s Head was based from the name of the greatest chief of the Abenaki tribe that inhabited the area. Folks of Owl’s Head believe that the mountain resembled the great chief’s profile as he lay in the state of repose. Owl’s Head is a magical ski resort that offers 44 trails that are serviced by 8 lifts, 4 quads and 4 doubles. Of the numerous trails, 30 % of which are for beginners, 40% for intermediate, and 30% for expert skiers.

Poley Mountain is a premier ski resort located in Sussex, Southern New Brunswick. Poley Mountain offers for 23 trails, T-bar, 2 handle-surface lifts, half-pipe and Magic Carpet. Its longest trail measures to about 1.62 kilometers. There are also full food/beverage service, as well as skiing and snowboarding lessons. Poley Mountain is open every seven days a week.
