Belleayre Ski Center
More popularly known as New York’s Winter Snow Park ski resort, Belleayre Ski Center can be found along State Route 28. In total, it has 47 glades, parks, and trails and 58% of the terrain is suited for intermediate skiers. The ski resort boasts 5 cross-country trails which is 9.2 kilometers. Operating hours are from 8:00 to 5:00 pm everyday for the lodges and 9:00 to 4:00 pm for the lifts.

The resort has a reputation of giving excellent service along with the perfect setting for skiing. They have tree skiing lines and snow covered boulders that offer fun and protection.

Ski Snowstar is situated within Coal Creek valley, five miles west of the Andalusia Quad Cities. It has 28 acres of skiable surface, and offers terrain designed for different skill levels. Moreover, it is a family-oriented ski-training area, accompanied by a day lodge with a bar, cafeteria and ski-rentals. It is serviced by two quad and double chairlifts, which provides fast rides to the top, so as to maximize skiing time. It also has a ski school, which is PSIA-certified, and offers a pre-ski program for parents who wish to have their toddlers learn the sport early. Like most Midwestern states, the skiing season runs from early December to mid-March.

Gore Mountain Ski Resort is one of the famous ski-resorts in New York. It is located at 793 Peaceful Valley Road which is 20 minutes from I-87. The ski resort has 84 trails, 75 are alpine trails while the other 9 are cross-country trails. It has a skiable area of 347 acres, more than half of which caters for intermediate skiers.

Hoodoo Mountain is a ski resort on federal land, with 806 acres of skiable area. It has 29 runs and a vertical drop of 1,305 feet. Its skiing terrain is fairly divided between skill levels, although the more difficult trails gain more attention. It offers some really great alpine and Nordic skiing for the visitor. Worth a look indeed.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort was previously known as Doe Mountain Ski Area. Back in 1968, the ski area consists of a t-bar, rope tow, and two trails. Now, Bear Creek Mountain Resort offers skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing recreations. The facilities of the resort are bar and restaurant, spa, and an on-site hotel. This first class resort is located in Berks County, Pennsylvania.
