Woodbury Ski Area
The Woodbury Ski area is also just a ski area. However, it is known to be the first among all the ski areas in Connecticut to make snow and open, thus making it an early treat for skiers – this is a good place to exercise your skiing legs. It has a fair distribution of trails and runs for all ski levels, so you can bring the family and have a lot of fun here. Woodbury is also home to Masters Ski Racing Events.

Whiteface Mountain is one of the highest mountains in the state of New York. It is nestled in Wilmington. The ski area boasts a base elevation of 1,220 feet, a vertical drop of 3,430 feet at the east. It has a skiable area of 220 acres in more than 76 trails. Whiteface has a skiing area called “Slides”, which is 35 acres, for adventurous skiers.

Jiminy Peak is a medium-sized ski resort that boasts of its family-friendly skiing amenities. Out of its 170 ski-worthy acres, you find yourself faced with 44 trails – most of which are alpine and ideal for all levels of skiing. The most exciting program so far, however, would be the SKIwee program, which helps young children lean how to ski and the after-work programs for the adults.
