Tsakhkadzor (“gorge of flowers”) features a world class ski resort, frequented by tourist and locals alike. The Tsakhkadzor Ski resort is situated 50 kilometers from Yerevan (the capital of Armenia) and the Zvartnots Aisport. It also hosted the Main Winter Sports Olympic Center of the Soviet athletes during the 1988 Winter Olympics.
