If you like the feeling of skiing right in your backyard, go to Granlibakken. The resort offers the perfect getaway from swarming vacation spots this winter. It may be small compared to other resorts in California but their facilities can provide a complete ski experience like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

This ski resort lives up to its name. With a view of the famous Lake Tahoe and a summit elevation of above 10, 000 feet, this is as close to heaven as you get. Heavenly Ski Resort is one of North America’s largest ski areas; it covers two states—California and Nevada. One day is not enough for you to enjoy the terrain parks and the resort’s facilities.

Since it’s the closest resort to Lake Tahoe, Homewood Mountain Resort boasts a breathtaking view of the lake. It is one of the reasons why people keep coming back to this ski resort. Aside from that, the place is known for its ski programs and well-maintained facilities like groomed runs.

Snow sports enthusiasts will enjoy their stay in Kirkwood Mountain Resort. They are offering almost all snow sports. The resort provides 80 kilometers of cross-country skiing, 2,300 acres of skiing, a tubing hill for snow tubing, and also a trail for the “snow version of motocross.”

Here at Northstar, skiing is not your only option. Their on-site facilities include ski and snowboard school for all ages, cross-country ski and Snowshoe Center, 9,000 square foot skating rink, lift-accessed tubing hill, sate-of-the-art Snowell tuning facility for skis and snowboards, and Apex Bungee trampoline.
