The resort maintains 80 runs total, with a good division among beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. 5 lift systems service the Kimberley Alpine Resort's guests, comprised of a triple chair, a double chair, a T-bar, a magic carpet, and a high speed quad chair lift. Skiing at the Kimberley Alpine Resort is ideal only between the months of December and April so make sure you make reservations early.

2. Mount Washington Alpine Resort
Mount Washington Alpine Resort resides on the eastern edge of the Vancouver Island Ranges in British Columbia, Canada. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, there are also additional facilities for snow tubing and a terrain park within the area. Mount Washington Alpine Resort also manages the nordic trails of Forbidden Plateau, located in nearby Strathcona Provincial Park. Mount Washingto Alpine Resort also prides itself with its latest acquisition, the Boomerang. The Boomerang is a state of the art continuous lift system that goes up one vertical face of the mountain and down the other side of the slope. This lift allows for the possibility of accommodating up to 1200 guests per hour.

3. Red Mountain Resort
Red Mountain Resort resides in the West Kootenay region, an area just north of the US/Canada border. Skiers can get to the resort via the Red Express Bus Service which shuttles them from Spokane International Airport or Kelowna International Airport. An 887 meter vertical awaits visitors of Red Mountain, serviced by five lifts and a magic carpet. A contraption called the Red Chair services the main Red Mountain, while other lifts operate on other areas. Their newest addition, the Doppelmayr, which is a fixed grip quad was added on December 7th of 2007.

4. Revelstoke Mountain Resort
One of the major ski resorts operating on the famous Mount MacKenzie, the Revelstoke Mountain Resort offers about 20 square kilometers of terrain perfect for skiing, with a vertical drop of 1,845 meters (or 6,100 feet). Although the resort is still yet to reach its full construction, it does plan on offering one of the best skiing experiences for its guests. The Revelstoke Mountain Resort also operates 25 lifts for 100 ski and snowboarding trails. The resort opened for the first time on December 22, 2007, and was considered as the biggest North American ski resort debut in the past two decades.

The resort also covers two mountain faces within a valley, with 4 distinct, main areas: Vance Creek, Attridge, Silver Woods, and Putnam Creek.
