2. Camelback Ski Area
Camelback Ski Area has 33 trails, majority of which is designed for beginners. The lift system has 15 in total with the uphill capacity of 18,600 persons per hour. The entire mountain is designed for snow sports, whether skiing, snowboarding, or snowtubing. Camelback is located at Tannersville, Pennsylvania.

Cloudmont Ski & Golf Resort is the only place available for skiing in Alabama. Because of their snow-making equipment, Cloudmont now has 2 one-thousand foot slopes for beginners and intermediate. The lift system used is 2 pony lifts. The resort provides personalized instruction and private lessons to skiers of different ages and skills.

4. Mount Bachelor
Mount Bachelor is one of the largest ski resorts in the continent, with its 3,683 skiable acres and 71 runs. Its runs range from Novice to Expert in terms of skill difficulty level, although there are more challenging trails than easy trails – a good thing for the serious skiers. Mount Bachelor also has terrain parks, which feature a 400-foot Super Pipe, a half-pipe and a jib park.

5. Williamette Pass
Williamette pass may be a humble ski area on federal land, but it hardly means that it's no fun. With one of the steepest runs in the world, it promises an adrenaline rush like no other. It also has two peaks to choose from, and offers some of the greatest skiing you can hope to have.

6. Anthony Lakes
Anthony Lakes is probably most famous for its dry snow, ideal for adventure and Cat skiing. The powder snow makes it possible for more adventurous skiers to pursue some more blood-pumping stunts, and most of the trails are for more experienced skiers. If you want a challenge, come to Anthony Lakes.

7. Mount Ashland
Mount Ashland is regarded as part of the alpine gateway to the Pacific Northwest; it is also on the highest peak of the Siskiyou Mountains. With a bowl and some of the steepest runs you can hope to find, the thrill-seekers will be happy to know that this place lives up to the claim “it's steeper here”. Most of Mount Ashland's trails are ranked black, and there are very few green trails here.

Spout Springs is a great place to help your kids learn how to ski. Located at the Blue Mountains, its wide, downhill trails are ideal for skiers of varying skills – so you can ski progressively harder slopes as you improve. The place has an excellent program for little children, and offers good facilities for alpine and cross-country skiing.

Arizona Snowbowl, located just 7 miles from Flagstaff Arizona, is an alpine ski resort set among the San Francisco Peaks. 32 trails and a terrain park provides plenty of space for activity-hunting skiers and snowboarders. The Arizona Snowbowl also boasts a 2,300 drop, which is considered the highest in all of Arizona, serviced by 5 lifts.
