11. Leavenworth Ski Hill
Leavenworth Ski Hill is a ski area facilitated by the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club, and is a good place to get into some exciting winter sports like ski-jumping and snowboarding. But we believe that the best facilities they have would be for their Nordic skiing programs. The trails are more than adequately lit for night skiing, and the downhill skiing area is great for the kids.

12. Loup Loup Ski Bowl
The Loup Loup Ski Bowl is a fun, safe place to do your skiing, but it doesn't mean that there isn't any excitement to be had here. After all, the trail difficulty ranges from beginner to expert, and they're all groomed on a regular basis. This is one of the best places to perfect your cross-country skiing. And with the view you get to have, this is certainly more than worth the money.

13. Mission Ridge
A great place to do your sunny skiing, the Mission Ridge ski resort has some of the best snow that you can ski on as you bask in the warmth and light of the sun. Its thirty-six trails range in difficulty, from beginner to expert – although much of the terrain is for intermediate skiing. Mission Ridge's more difficult runs are made interesting by natural chutes, steeps, moguls and bowls; a rarity in ski resorts nowadays.

14. Mount Spokane Ski Area
If you like fun, then you might want to try the Mount Spokane Ski Area. True, it's not a resort, but it's a worthwhile ski destination to try – almost half of the grand total of its trails are ranked as difficult, while not alienating less experienced skiers. The snowfall is also ideal here, as it ensures some good coverage. Great place to have a weekend getaway.

16. Steven's Pass Ski Area
Steven's Pass Ski Area may be called a ski area, but don't think that it's not worth a visit when you happen to be on a ski vacation. With some nice, dry snow and a collection of glades and bowls to keep things interesting, Steven's Pass offers some excellent skiing for the more experienced skiers. The area's terrain is varied enough so the adrenaline junkies would not be bored, and it has enough gentle slopes for the novices. The great view doesn't hurt either.
